The Greek Government has proceeded with a generous permanent reduction of the annual property tax (ENFIA) by 13%. With the new framework, 8 out of 10 property owners will pay even less ENFIA. Many will pay the same amount, while a small percentage of homeowners, about 6%, will see a reasonable addition.
According to the finance ministry, the overall reduction of the new ENFIA dues will be around €350 million, much higher than the €70 million foreseen in the 2022 budget.
