The Greek Government announced plans to extend vaccinations to residents & even long-term visitors who do not have an AMKA social security number.
In efforts to ensure that everyone living in Greece is vaccinated against Covid-19, Greek authorities are making efforts to issue a temporary AMKA number to all foreigners and uninsured individuals, as participation in the current Covid-19 vaccination procedure requires an 11-digit social security number (AMKA).
The government has passed legislation to issue temporary AMKA numbers in order to facilitate vaccination and is currently finalizing implementation details. Once finalized, the information will also be uploaded on the Greek government webpage at https://emvolio.gov.gr/. Individuals without AMKA who believe they qualify for the current phase of vaccination in Greece may enter their personal data at https://emvolio.gov.gr/aitisi to request consideration for a vaccination appointment.
